LOCTITE 3335

Main features

  • Rapid UV-Cationic Cure
  • Low-Shrinkage Rigid Bonding
  • 135 deg C Glass Transition

Product Description

LOCTITE EA 3335 brings one-part UV-cationic epoxy chemistry to bonding, coating, and tacking on metal, plastic, and glass. The clear liquid cures rapidly under suitable UV exposure to form a hard, translucent material with a typical glass transition temperature of 135 deg C and volume shrinkage of 2.18%. A viscosity range of 5,000 to 7,000 mPa s at 25 deg C provides a defined application profile before cure. The cured epoxy also has volume resistivity of 4.10 x 10^15 ohm cm and 1.1% water absorption under the stated tests for rigid bonded or coated assemblies.

Key features

  • Rapid UV-Cationic Cure: Tack-free surfaces develop in less than 20 seconds under specified metal-halide conditions.
  • Low Volume Shrinkage: Typical cured volume shrinkage is 2.18% by ASTM D 792.
  • Hard 135 deg C Tg: The cured material has Shore D hardness of at least 80 and a 135 deg C glass transition temperature.

Applications

Bonding, coating, and tacking metal, plastic, and glass substrates where suitable UV exposure reaches the material.
