Product Description
LOCTITE SI 5083 is a one-component acetoxy silicone for potting, coating, gasketing, and sealing. UV light initiates cure in exposed material, while atmospheric moisture continues cure in shadowed regions. The thixotropic paste records 0 mm flow by ISO 7390 and an extrusion rate of 130 to 170 g/min under the stated cartridge test. Under the documented cured-material conditions, key properties include Shore A hardness 45 to 65, at least 170% elongation, tensile strength of at least 3.1 N/mm^2, and dielectric breakdown strength of 25 kV/mm.
