PERMABOND TA4611
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- Microbead-Free Small-Gap Bonding
- Primer-Free PP and PE Assembly
- Controlled 0.5 mm Gap Filling
Product Description
Permabond TA4611 is a two-part, 1:1 toughened acrylic adhesive developed for polypropylene and polyethylene without primer or costly surface treatment. Its microbead-free formulation is intended for joints with smaller gaps while retaining compatibility with selected metals and composites. The transparent to pale-yellow mixed adhesive supports a maximum gap of 0.5 mm. At 23 deg C, typical pot life is 4 to 6 minutes, fixture strength develops in 10 to 16 minutes, and handling strength in 40 to 50 minutes. Cured shear results include 14 N/mm^2 on carbon fiber, 13 N/mm^2 on epoxy FRP, and 8 N/mm^2 on HDPE.
Key features
- Microbead-Free Small-Gap Bonding: Supports joints up to the 0.5 mm maximum gap.
- Primer-Free Polyolefins: Bonds polypropylene and polyethylene without primer or costly surface treatment.
- Dissimilar-Material Assembly: Supports selected metal, composite, and polyolefin substrate combinations.
Applications
Applications include smaller-gap bonding of polypropylene and polyethylene, plus selected metal, composite, and dissimilar-material assemblies.
