PERMABOND UV648
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- Non-Drip Application Control
- UV-Stabilized Plastic Bonding
- Colorless High-Elongation Cure
Product Description
Permabond UV648 is a single-part, non-drip urethane-methacrylate adhesive for UV bonding of acrylic, UV-stabilized plastics, glass, and metals. Its long-wavelength photoinitiator supports cure through UV-stabilized plastic, while the clear formulation produces a colorless bond. At 25 deg C, viscosity is 20,000 to 40,000 mPa s at 20 rpm, and typical fixture time is 2 to 10 seconds under the listed lamp conditions. Cured properties include more than 70% elongation, 50 to 65 Shore D hardness, and overlap shear values above 7 N/mm^2 on polycarbonate and above 4 N/mm^2 on acrylic and PET.
Key features
- Non-Drip Application Control: High shear-dependent viscosity limits flow before UV cure.
- UV-Stabilized Plastic Cure: A long-wavelength photoinitiator supports cure through UV-stabilized plastics.
- Colorless Flexible Bond: The cured adhesive is colorless and provides more than 70% elongation.
Applications
Applications include bonding acrylic, UV-stabilized plastics, glass, metals, polycarbonate, and PET where UV transmission is adequate.
