- Up to 18 mm Gap Tolerance
- 90-160% Typical Elongation
Product Description
Plexus MA530 Methacrylate Structural Adhesive is a 1:1, non-sag methacrylate system for structural bonding of large composite, thermoplastic, and metal assemblies. The mixed adhesive forms a gray gel and provides a typical 30-40 minute working time at 23.9 deg C. Its 0.75-18.0 mm gap tolerance supports joints with wider dimensional variation, while the cured material combines 17.2-24.1 MPa tensile strength with 90-160% elongation. MA530 is suited to transportation, marine, and industrial structures that need a moderate open time, substantial gap filling, and a tough cured bondline for large-part assembly.
Key features
- Moderate open time: A typical 30-40 minute working time at 23.9 deg C supports large-part assembly.
- Substantial gap tolerance: The adhesive accommodates typical gaps from 0.75 to 18.0 mm.
- High elongation: The cured material provides typical elongation of 90-160% with 17.2-24.1 MPa tensile strength.
Applications / Suitable for
- Large composite, thermoplastic, and metal structures in transportation, marine, and industrial manufacturing.
