Product Description
SikaFast-3131 S combines a fast-curing, two-component methacrylate adhesive with 0.68 to 0.84 mm spacer shims for controlled bond thickness. The 10:1 volume-mix thixotropic paste has a seven-minute open time at 23 deg C and 50% relative humidity, supporting quick assembly and fixturing. After cure, typical properties include 9 MPa tensile strength, 50% elongation, and 10.5 MPa tensile lap-shear strength under ASTM D638 and CQP046-6 / ISO 4587. It is used for high-strength fastening of concealed joints on aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and fiber-reinforced polymers and can replace or complement mechanical fixation.
